Our story
Coach Sunil Soni founded Sunil Cricket Academy in 2016, and still coaches and directs it today. From the start the academy has kept an open door between coaches and players: any player can ask why, and every correction comes with a reason.
We teach cricket the traditional way — technique first. A player learns the grip, stance, footwork and action properly before being asked to play at pace, because a sound method is what holds up under pressure. That technical base is the same in every SCA programme.
We want to develop proficient cricketers who can go on to represent their clubs, their state and their country — and we welcome every young player who loves the game and wants to improve.
Why choose SCA
Founder & Director Sunil Soni is a Level 2 coach with First Class coaching experience and still coaches; Head Coach Ranjit Soni leads Regular Training.
Technique is built properly first, then tested in match scenarios — the same foundation in every programme.
Coaches correct players in the session and explain why — players are told what to fix, not left to guess.
A dedicated fitness head trainer, and sports-psychology sessions run alongside the skills work.
Club and company associations that help players who are ready reach competitive and selection cricket.
Training grounds in Churchgate, in the middle of the city and minutes from the station.
How we train
Every session at Cross Maidan rests on the same four foundations — the academy's own training model, worked on together rather than in separate terms.
We teach cricket the traditional way — technique first. Grip, stance, footwork and action are built properly before pace and power are added, then tested in match scenarios, so young cricketers understand the game as well as play it.
In association with various clubs and companies, the academy runs tournaments so cricketers get scope to improve their skills and techniques — and to build confidence by playing competitively.
SCA looks after a cricketer’s overall progress. Alongside physical conditioning it runs fitness and mental health camps, with sessions on the psychology of the sport led by experts including Mr. Sanjay Rahate.
Young cricketers are given a platform to interact directly with cricketers and sports experts, so they understand the game from the point of view of people who have played it.
Our vision
Sunil Cricket Academy is a group of cricket enthusiasts with a keen and passionate intent to produce proficient cricketers who represent at national and international level. Our conscience is to polish cricketers’ abilities and create a masterpiece out of them, with the pivotal principle of rewarding the future of cricket by providing the nation with its finest cricketers. We motivate young cricketers to reach their goals from an early age, and make them fall in love with the sport.
Associations

Coaching team
SCA’s coaches and fitness trainers work with players directly in every session. The door is open: players and parents can talk to the coaches about progress at any time, and feedback is specific — what to change, and why.
